so i moved to northwest alberta for work and actually don't mind it, the weather is currently insanely cold with loads of snow that just never seems to stop falling, it's actually quite pretty but ugh
anyway will start with random pics taken over the last 6 months since i've been living here and there
rainbow lake is basically a very small town maybe 850 people in remote NW alberta, about equal distance to BC and and the NWT, it's all oil industry here anyway the pics...
my flight up - landed in grande prairie - 7 hours south of RL...
the summer skies are amazing
hwy 34 - the mackenzie highway which goes up to the NWT
the highways around here are long and flat and straight
a first impression of rainbow lake
"downtown" as some people call it - this is a hotel, grocery store, postal outlet, bank agency, bar and restaurant
spindly trees
heading south
somewhere on the way into edmonton
heading back north
a bridge crossing the peace river
peace river valley
rainbow lake
an amazing sunset
bad fires this past summer - smoke was thick for many days
