GTC Riddle (U.S. & Canada)

Hey guys! My friends and I always play this Guess The City game where we give clues about where we've been and get each other to guess where we're going next. It's a riddle, and I know that you'll be incredibly confused at the beginning as it seems there's no method to the madness, but I promise there is. You'll get very frustrated, but once you figure out the code, you'll feel ridiculously satisfied and proud. What I do is give you guys clues and let you guess where I'm going next. I only use major cities from the U.S. and Canada. Until you figure it out, you'll be guessing blindly. Once you get it, you'll figure it out every time. Once you crack the code, I'll let you give directions as well. I'll do an example to show you how I'll be doing it.

I'm going to Boston for five nights. Then, I go to Los Angeles and then Louisville. Then, I'll go to Seattle. Where am I?

Answer: Chicago.
