The Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football Field are replacing Ivor Wynne Stadium with a 24,000 seat facility due to be ready for the start of the 2014 season. The team is currently playing in nearby Guelph, Ontario while the new stadium is under construction.

The history of Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club can be traced back to November 3, 1869 in a room above George Lee’s Fruit Store, when the Hamilton Football Club was formed. In this regard, they are the oldest professional football team in north America.
