Hi, and welcome to Liepāja development thread! Liepāja is the 3rd largest and also the most industrial town in Latvia. It is located on the stretch of land between the Baltic Sea and lake Liepāja, both connected by Trade canal. Historically its strongest points is metal processing, textile and construction materials production, food industry, ship construction, cargo transfer and transshipment, as well as other sectors. The oldest electric tram line (opened in 1899) in the Baltics curves through residential neighborhoods from its north to south. Baltic Sea with its widest sandy beach in the country, strolling, beautiful scenery and colorful sunsets these are just few of many magnets that attract locals, neighbors and more distant guests from Europe and worldwide.
