Early 60's almost all airlines in the country fly to Marinduque which includes Philippine Airlines, Air Manila, and Fairways. When Philippine Airlines stopped servicing Marinduque in 1998, the airport was closed down, but re-opened for a couple of years when Asian Spirit plied the Marinduque route.
