Northern speed tangent is a planned motorway, that will bypass Sofia from north and will ease the traffic near the Bulgarian capital. It will connect 4 motorways - A1 Trakia motorway (via Sofia ring road), A2 Hemus motorway, the future A7(?) Kalotina motorway and A6 Lyulin motorway. Also, Northern speed tangent connects 3 Pan-European corridors - IV, VIII and X.
