Does anybody have any information regarding this building and it's history please?
I have typed in various requests to google and it hasnt provided much at all.
During a visit to Bham yesterday I was regailing the story of a lady who slept in the doorway (facing Stephenson St) of Midland Bank, and seeing her everytime I visted Bham as a child when decending the ramp from the pallasades with my mother. I maybe looking back with rose tinted specs, I may have dreamt it: but I was sure the bank provided flowers when the lady passed away.
My girlfriend seemed to think she remembered going into the new bookshop as a little girl, but I thought the bank became Dillons around the mid-nineties, and I remembered spending lunchtimes browsing the shelves when I was a young office junior.
