Ex Tropical Cyclone Oswald and the NSW / Queensland floods.

Just thought I'd start a thread on the current situation in coastal Queensland and NSW. I know Sydney is facing major weather from this system and Brisbane is currently experiencing a storm which I haven't seen since Cyclone Nancy - and that was a catagory 1.

Currently all over SEQueensland the damage is mounting from wind and water. Brisbane is expected to begin flooding later tomorrow however I can say many roads around the city are now impassable. Gold Coast is also suffering with windows currently being blown out of apartment buildings and massive beach erosion.

According to BOM Brisbane data centre received 111.0mm of rain since 9am.

But looking at the localised catchments some suburbs have had almost 200mm of rain in the Brisbane area. Most averaged around 100mm

Here are some screenshots I have made from the BOM
